The poster for The Devil All the Time highlights the massively talented cast of Netflix’s upcoming movie. The Devil All the Time is adapted from Donald Ray Pollock’s award-winning novel of the same name. It spans the time between World War II and the Vietnam war to tell the story of an unholy preacher, a twisted couple, and a crooked sheriff. These unsavory characters converge around Arvin Russell (Tom Holland), a young man fighting against evil forces that threaten him and his family.
Following the release of first-look photos, Netflix has now revealed the poster for The Devil All the Time, which showcases the adaptation’s stacked cast. In addition to Holland, the movie focuses on an ensemble that includes Bill Skarsgård, Riley Keough, Jason Clarke, Sebastian Stan, Haley Bennett, Eliza Scanlen, Mia Wasikowska and Robert Pattinson. The unveiling of the poster, from See What’s Next, comes with the tease that a trailer will be arriving soon. The Devil All the Time is directed and co-written by Antonio Campos, who previously directed the critically-acclaimed biographical drama Christine and helmed several episodes of The Sinner. Campos is also attached to write The Staircase, an upcoming television series adaptation of the popular docuseries, which will be headlined by Harrison Ford.
The Devil All the Time has been in the works since 2018. At one point, Chris Evans was due to star in the project but had to drop out because of scheduling conflicts; Sebastian Stan replaced him. The film comes with a lot of name recognition in front of the camera and behind the scenes as well, as Jake Gyllenhaal is linked to the project as one of its producers. Netflix is banking on that recognition to draw interest in the film, along with the thrill of seeing so many formidable talents sharing scenes.
