The third film in the Chronicles of Riddick franchise and a sequel to Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, 2013's Riddick stars Vin Diesel as the eponymous fugitive. When Riddick is betrayed and left for dead on a hostile planet, he eventually meets a team of mercenaries with whom he teams up in order to survive.
