Baby Yoda is back at it again, appearing in a full suit of Mandalorian armor in a fan-made 3D rendered image. The unexpected breakout star character from the popular Disney+ show, The Mandalorian has taken the world by storm. Baby Yoda has inspired a seemingly infinite onslaught of fan created memes, GIFs, and video edits. The little guy has even appeared in The Sims 4 video game and an SNL skitThe Mandalorian's first season may have just ended but Baby Yoda's popularity doesn't appear to be waning at all, and in fact, the cute character appears to have grown only more popular as time progresses.

The adorable green baby was first introduced in The Mandalorian as "The Child." Baby Yoda's character quickly eclipsed the plot of the show itself, what with images of the character becoming so commonplace on the Internet anyone could easily find Baby Yoda content with having to pay for a Disney+ subscription. While Baby Yoda's cuteness made for an obvious merchandising choice, Disney lost millions in revenue after not having a plethora of merchandise for eager fans to purchase. Disney CEO Bob Iger defended the Baby Yoda merchandise release delay decision until 2020 out of respect for The Mandalorian director Jon Favreau's wish to keep Baby Yoda a secret until the show's premiere. Iger also admitted that Baby Yoda's immense popularity was not what Disney initially anticipated.

In spite of the lack of Baby Yoda merchandise for Christmas, the character remains popular enough to continue to inspire fans to create their own Baby Yoda fan artwork. Baby Yoda's cuteness can clearly cut through the strongest of armor, and Mando's iconic suit is no exception. Although the first season of The Mandalorian ended on a positive note with Baby Yoda being rescued from the clutches of the evil Moff Gideon, fans will have to wait until Fall 2020 for The Mandalorian season 2. With the release of official Baby Yoda merchandise hitting shelves in 2020 and the premiere of The Mandalorian's second season, fans have plenty to look forward to while the start of a new decade draws near.

In a world where Star Wars fans typically have more to argue about than agree on, the character of Baby Yoda represents a symbol of unity.
